We spend a short time in NICE to enjoy the "Promenade des Anglais" (Walkway of the English). We continue to SAINT MAXIME, a delicious small coastal town, to stroll through its port and its historic center where the "Square Tower" of the sixteenth century stands out. From there we will take a tourist boat to cross the beautiful bay and arrive by sea to SAINT TROPEZ, in its old fishing port we can see some of the most luxurious yachts in the world. Time to stroll and have lunch. We continue to MARSEILLES, France´s second city, to see its vibrant “Vieux port” (old port).

Villages, landscapes, history, today we see some of the most beautiful places in Provence. ARLES, a world heritage city, shows us its legacy of the Roman and medieval times and reminds us of Van Gogh. In LES BEAUX, we have the chance to visit this small medieval village and we will include admission to the CARRIERES DE LUMIERE, an impressive show of art, image and sound underground, in some former quarries. Time for lunch and stroll in AVIGNON, with its immense Palais des Papes. We continue to LYON, where we can walk through the World Heritage Site old town and we will include the cable car to climb Notre Dame de Fourviere, a huge basilica from where we have a great view over the city.

We will set off from Lyon and head to the Burgundy region. We stop at TOURNUS, a quaint little town with an imposing stone gate and a large abbey. After that, we will travel to BEAUNE. Time to have lunch and explore a bit through the wine capital of Burgundy. We recommend you to visit the wine museum or the historic hospice. Next, we will visit the CASTLE OF SAVIGNY situated in the heart of this winemaking region. The castle was built in the 15th century and houses some extraordinary museums (museum of motorbikes, racing cars, planes and helicopters!). We continue to DIJON, capital of Burgundy, which boasts of lively streets as well as numerous medieval and Renaissance buildings, among which, the palace of the dukes stands out.

We leave Dijon for FONTENAY ABBEY, a world heritage site, where we include admission to this Cistercian center. After this, we will make a stop in SEMUR EN AUXOIS, a medieval city surrounded by impressive walls. Still in Burgundy, we will have time for lunch and a stroll in VEZELAY, one of France’s most beautiful villages, where its immense basilica was one of the starting points of the Way of St James. In the afternoon we continue our route to PARIS. Arrival in the evening.

We come into contact with the history of France in the immense Palace of Versailles with its beautiful gardens. Admission included. After that, on our way back to Paris, we head to Montmartre, and take a cable car (included) to go up to this bohemian neighborhood known for its painters, artists and cabarets. To contemplate the beauty of the impressive avenues and monuments of Paris, you will have the city tour with a local guide. Return to the hotel. Optionally you can attend the variety show.

We go to the center of Paris, starting by the Eiffel Tower area. You will have the opportunity to climb up to the second floor of this remarkable metal monument (ticket included). Then, we enjoy a boat cruise along the River Seine, which divides the north of Paris from the south. Enjoy a free afternoon to explore as you choose.Note: Sometimes queues to climb the Eiffel Tower are long. For organizational reasons, if deemed appropriate, the climb can be made at a different moment of the day.At around 17:30h we will leave Paris for the Loire Valley. We will arrive in TOURS, regional capital of the Loire, in the late afternoon. We recommend you use your time here to take a stroll and dine in the beautiful historic downtown.

Today we will travel to the south of France across fragrant vineyards. We arrive in BORDEAUX whose town centre was declared a World Heritage Site. Here we will have time to have lunch and explore. We suggest that you visit the Port of the Moon and St Andrew’s Cathedral. We will then continue our trip and head towards the Pyrenees. LOURDES, arrival in the late afternoon. You can attend the candle procession (which takes place from late March until the end of October) and visit places of worship. We include the dinner at the hotel for all of our passengers.

We travel through the south of France, CARCASSONNE, time to explore and have lunch in this cityfamous for its medieval walls, its impressive castle and the picturesque historic district (la Cite). After that we continue towards the Pyrenees mountain range. FOIX, a brief stop to stroll through the medieval city dominated by its impressive castle of the Counts of Foix. We continue towards the high mountains of the Pyrenees, with snowy peaks all year round. We enter ANDORRA, a small country whose official language is Catalan. On our route we make a short stop next to SANT JOAN DE CASELLES, a small Romanesque church from the 12th century. We continue to ANDORRA LA VELLA, capital of the principality of Andorra, free time to get to know the city with a lot of commercial life, oryou can go to “Caldea”, the largest thermal spa in Europe. Dinner included.

We will have free time in ANDORRA for shopping and exploring. After lunch, we will continue our trip and head to Catalonia. The mountain countryside leads us to the impressive site of the MONTSERRAT MONASTERY, where you will go up the mountain on a rack train to see its fantastic scenery. Following this we will continue to BARCELONA, arriving in the late afternoon.

In the morning we include a city tour of Barcelona, considered one of the most interesting European capitals, open to the Mediterranean Sea, famous for Gaudí and its modernist architecture, also for the ramblas and the memories of the Universal Exhibitions and Olympics that took place there.Following this, we include the entry ticket to visit ‘Poble Espanyol’ (meaning ‘Spanish Village’). This open-air architectural museum is situated in one of the most emblematic areas of Barcelona. Enjoy the Spanish craftsmanship and discover the architectural styles, traditions and folklore of the different regions of Spain. Free time in the afternoon.In the evening we include a transfer to the Maremagnum, a modern leisure center and restaurants facing the sea, next to Plaza Colón, where you can stroll through this lively area and dine.

We will travel south along the Mediterranean, making a special stop in PEÑISCOLA, a small walled town on the shores of the sea, where we will have time for a stroll. We will then travel to VALENCIA, a port city on the Levantine coast, in which we will arrive at lunch time. Will you try the famous paella? At 16:30 hrs. approx. we will continue our route to Madrid, making a brief stop at the avant-garde City of Arts and Sciences of Valencia. Arrival to MADRID at 20:30/21:00 hrs. and transfer to the Plaza Mayor, always a busy and common place to go out to have some pinchos or wine in one of its numerous mesons.Note: Depending on the number of passengers, the journey from Valencia to Madrid might be carried out by high-speed train.

The morning starts with a comprehensive tour through the center of Madrid, including the Paseo del Prado, Cibeles, Neptuno, the Gate of Alcalá, Plaza de Colón and Plaza Mayor. Then we will visit Retiro Park, an oasis in the city center, where we will see the lake and the Glass Palace. Entrance included to the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium, the football stadium of Real Madrid, for many, the best club in the world. Enjoy the rest of the afternoon at your own leisure. At the end of the evening we will return to the hotel.
