Today we will know the beautiful city of RONDA, with its squares, monuments, viewpoints and its history.Our beautiful walking tour will feature the best places in both new and historic centres. We will walk through the “Alameda of the Tajo”, the elegant18th century public garden to discover the fantastic strategic situation of the city, the mountains that surround it, the bullfighting arena La Real Maestranza de Caballería, one of the oldest squares in Spain. On our visit we will stroll through the magnificent “New Bridge”, from 1793, the perfect union between the modern city and the old Medina. Today the historic centre is known as “la ciudad” neighbourhood: its alleys, its squares and its noble houses. We will visit the old Monumental Square, where there are several buildings and monuments such as the Town Hall, the Church of Santa Maria La Mayor… We will finish our beautiful walk around the bridge where most bars and restaurants are located to have lunch and enjoy a tapa with a tasting of Ronda Wines (DO) in the Arcades in front of the Convent of Santo Domingo (included). After lunch we will include a visit to the interior of the bullfighting arena La Real Maestranza de Caballería de Ronda, visiting the Albero, the museum and the Guadarnés of the house of Orleans. At the end we return to the hotel, where they can rest or continue walking for a coffee in their cafes or patisseries. In the afternoon, at 19:00 we will go to the “Papo Seco” flamenco guitar show, entrance fee and a drink included. Back to the hotel.

After breakfast we leave Ronda towards the natural monument of GATO CAVE, closely related to banditry and already cited by English travellers from the 18th century. We will stop to photograph its spectacular entrance. We will continue to visit another cave: LA PILETA (entrance included). Prehistoric site, and one of the most important representations of southern Palaeolithic cave paintings. We will take a guided tour to discover, among many other things, its famous representations of the fish and the pregnant mare. Later we will continue to know some of the WHITE VILLAGES of the province of Cádiz, in addition to learning something more about olive oil. We arrive at ZAHARA DE LA SIERRA, located on a cliff with the remains of its Moorish castle, it dominates the waters of the “El Gastor-Zahra Reservoir”, which gives it its image as one of the most beautiful villages in the region. We will begin with an included visit to the Oleum Viride olive oil mill or “El Manzanillo” Olive Oil Mill: visit to the mill, with explanations about the process and extraction of the oil, with a commented tasting. Next we will visit the town, its steep alleys, the clock tower, the viewpoints over the reservoir, its lively life. We have lunch and later we go to SETENIL DE LAS BODEGAS, crossing fields of crops, streams and olive groves. Here we will discover its cave streets ad its white houses built using the same rock. After a guided walk, we can have coffee with some typical sweet. Return to RONDA and arrival at the hotel.

Today we will know the leafy valley GENAL VALLEY. We will travel through the mountain range to the surprising town of JUZCAR, a BLUE village in the middle of all the white Andalusien villages. For the promotion of the movie “The Smurfs” in 2011, this all town was painted all blue and so it remains until today. On its walls we will see many of the characters in these cute cartoons reflected. Walk through the village.In our vehicle we will cross the spectacular chestnut groves of the Alto Genal. We will make a small trail on foot through the chestnut grove.Through a winding mountain road we will arrive at GENALGUACIL, known as the first museum village in Spain. Since 2010 it has organized an art biennial whose works then remain on display in its streets, becoming an open-air museum village in the middle of the wooded Genal Valley. Guided walk through its streets and works of art.Then we will go to GAUCÍN, one of the villages with the best views of the mountain range, and to Prosper Merimee, the place of origin of its famous Carmen.After lunch, walk through the village of Castillo de Águila, portrayed by artists such as David Robert or Villamil and the place of Guzmán Bueno´s death. And before returning to Ronda, we will take a walking trail of approximately 1 hour, through the forest of Gaucín, to discover the famous cork oaks, the cork technique and the Andalusian oak groves.Return to Ronda and end of our services.End of services.
