Our first stop will be at the confluence of the Garonne and Dordogne rivers, and between vineyards we head to PAUILLAC, capital of the Médoc wine, time to stroll through its charming marina. We will continue to the LAMARQUE pier to cross the Garona river by boat. We will arrive at BLAYE, and we will enjoy our free time in this beautiful walled citadel, classified World Heritage by UNESCO. A 17th century military masterpiece, the Blaye Citadel has witnessed many historical and military events due to its strategic location. We will continue to to SAINT-EMILIOM, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO and we will visit the Clos des Menuts, where you will discover its beautiful monolithic cellars from the 12th century located in the heart of the medieval city. After Breakfast. We will start our day in the pretty village of AUBETERRE-SUR-DRONNE, where we will find an unsual highlight, the monolithic church of Saint-Jean, the underground church of Saint-Jeant, hat was excavated in the rock in the 12th century by Benedictine monks. We will visit its interior (entrance included)We will head toward BRANTOME, with romantic architecture, called the "green Venice" of Périgord. We will find remarkable places such as the Benedictine abbey, and we will have a walk in the streets of the old town. Nearby is the city of PERIGUEUX, located at the pilgrims´ pass on the Camino de Santiago with an important historical heritage, majestic castles, vestiges of the medieval or Renaissance times, cathedral, abbeys and priories, witnesses of an intense spiritual life. We will see lands with the fields where such noble products as strawberries, truffles and mushrooms are coming from. Time to walk through the capital of Perigord. We continue visiting LES EYZIES-DE-TAVAC-SIREUIL, known for its high concentration of prehistoric caves to discover. The National Museum of Prehistory is located here. Time for a walk We continue with rock art making with a visit of one of the most important caves, Lascaux Caves (entrance included)We finish the day in the small medieval town of SARLAT, a world heritage site, preserving an incredibly well-preserved Renaissance historic center with its markets essential to taste their gastronomy: foie gras, mushrooms, confit, magret,, truffles, nuts wines... Time to enjoy all of them and accommodation.

In the morning we will travel along the Dordogne River. Between cliffs, we will visit wonderful villages such as BEYNAC-ET-CAZENAC, where the Castle of Beynac is located (entrance included). Dating from the 12th century and one of the best preserved medieval castles, it preserves its authenticity and offers amazing views of the valley and river. Following the river path we will stop at LA ROQUE-GAGEAC, located down of a cliff where we will discover its narrow streets, its troglodytic fort, its tropical vegetation and its small church that dominates the valley. A few kilometers from there we will meet DOMME, where we will make a brief stop to be able to contemplate from its viewpoint an exceptional panoramic view of the Dordogne valley. We follow the river on our way to TURENNE, a small town that preserves many traces of its rich medieval past. After a pleasant walk we will continue towards COLLOGNES LA ROUGE, a beautiful town located between walnut and chestnut trees and characteristic for the reddish color of its houses. We continue our trip to MARTEL, a beautiful town known as “the city of the seven towers”, with a rich architectural heritage. Our last stop will be in ROCAMADOUR, known as a sacred city and a prominent place of pilgrimage. Located on a massive cliff where its famous sanctuary of the Black Madonna stands out. We will cross the Natural Park of the Causses du Quercy Region and we will arrive in SAINT-CIRQ-LAPOPIE. The whole city is considered as a historic monument and it is on the list of “The most beautiful villages in France”. We take advantage of our route through the province of Lot to see another city full of art and history, CAHORS. Its narrow streets and monuments are testimonies of its history, from Gallo-Roman times to medieval times. With our guide we will visit one of its famous Chateau surrounded by vineyards and we will be able to taste the wines of the region (entrance included). We continue to LAUZERTE, hanging town and important point for pilgrims, a medieval town full of charm and magic. Before ending this wonderful route through the south of France, we will make a stop at another unique medieval town, PUJOLS. Surrounded by vineyards, we will walk with our guide through its flowery alleys dotted by beautiful houses.Arrival in BORDEAUX. End of services.
