In a fascinating trip to the past, we will get lost in its streets, old shops, theater, square and roman villas… which were buried under the ashes of the famous Vesuvius. We continue to POZZUOLI, a fishing village in the Gulf of Naples, located in the caldera of the active volcano of the Phlegrean Fields. In this lively city where Sophia Loren grew up, we will visit classical remains such as the Flavian Amphitheater, the third largest in Italy, its network of underground caves extraordinarily organized, the Temple of Serapide and the Arch of Felice, the majestic ancient entrance to the old City. From there, we will ascend to the excavations of the ancient Greek city of CUMA to visit the Cavern of the Sibyl and its temples. Later, we will make a brief photographic stop at the viewpoint over Averno Lake, considered by its dark atmosphere as one of "the mouths of hell … "Arrival and accommodation in NAPLES

Today we will embark to the ISLAND OF ISCHIA. We will enjoy this beautiful volcanic island on the Gulf of Naples: the Bay of Montano, Sant’Angelo burg, Bocca di Tifeo with its fumaroles and Aragonese Castle. Leisure time to relax in one of its spa areas if you wish to do so. Return to NAPLES, a city steeped in history that leaves no one indifferent. Strolling through the Neapolitan neighborhoods is color, joy, and a bit of chaos... We will walk through its historic center, San Carlo Theater, Plebiscito Square, the Royal Palace and the famous Galleries Umbertinas with its elegant shops and historic cafes, or we will taste its typical world-famous gastronomy.

After breakfast, we´ll leave Naples for the Sorrento Peninsula. Arrival and walk through SORRENTO, a beautiful coastal city located on cliffs, known for its panoramic views of the sea and the famous Tasso square and its cafes. We will follow the panoramic and narrow road that will take us into the wonderful AMALFI COAST. Then, we will stop in POSITANO, town with stairs, steep streets and small pebble beaches and crystal clear waters. Following the winding road, we will make a stop to visit the famous EMERALD GROTTO, (visit included) that owes its name to the emerald colour of its waters. We are now going to know the capital of the old maritime republic of the Middle Ages that gives its name to the coast: AMALFI. This important commercial port with Orient, will discover us, among others, its imposing cathedral and staircase.We will then go up to RAVELLO, one of the few towns on the Amalfi coast without coast. It is a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, a former diocese and it was the place of residence and refuge for many noble families of Amalfi. To complete this day, we will arrive at the port city of SALERNO, where we will be accommodated (dinner included) and we will be able to walk through its streets.

Our day takes us today to PAESTUM, an ancient Greco-Roman city. We will visit (entrance included), the archaeological city, with the temples of Hera and Poseidon. On our way to Rome we will visit the ROYAL PALACE OF CASERTA (entrance included), built by King Carlos III as an ideal and original fusion of the Palace of Versailles and El Escorial, with its majestic gardens and park formed by fountains and waterfalls. The palace was the administrative capital of the Kingdom of Naples since the second half of the s. XVIII. We continue our journey to MONTECASSINO ABBEY, the first Benedictine monastery and also famous for being the scenario, at the end of World War II, of the famous Battle of Monte casino.Arrival in ROMEEnd of services.
