Welcome to your Europamundo Trip Style!!! The information about the meeting place and start time of your circuit can be found on your voucher.We start our journey to take you deep into the intensive red semidesert lands and rainfed crops of Southern Aragon, up to its capital, ALCAÑIZ. We will walk towards Plaza de España where the church of Santa Maria la Mayor will be waiting for us and just opposite it, the Town Hall, an example of Aragonese Renaissance. Should you wish, the Calatravos Castle, nowadays Parador Nacional, is reachable by climbing the hill, views from there are spectacular. We continue heading towards a little gem of the “Empty Spain”, known as the “Tuscany of Aragon”, the city of Matarraña. Its river gives name to the county where waterfalls, the mountain, and the olive trees will transport us to a Mediterranean like atmosphere. Our first stop will be MAS DE FLANDI, a mill that produces organic extra virgin oil. We will visit the olive oil mill, whereupon we will taste some of the most special olive oils produced there. In less than five minutes we will be reaching CALACEITE, a village that preserves an amazing Gothic and Renaissance complex. After lunch and walk, we will continue towards CRETAS. This small village has a medieval framework full of arches, passages, squares, and portals. Time to walk or let our guide take us to one of the most famous bread ovens in Aragon. We continue towards VALDERROBRES, Matarraña’s capital. This beautiful town, full of alleys leading to its imposing Gothic castle. During the guided tour we will discover the town’s best kept secrets, after which, a local product tasting will be offered to you (only in summer time).

After breakfast, we will easily start to climb up towards the Maestrazgo, known as the “Spanish Lapland” because of its low population density. Our first stop will be in the municipality of Molinos, where we will visit one of the best-preserved grottos in Aragon, the KRYSTAL GROTTO, a Natural Monument which strange formations we will not leave us indifferent. (Entrance included). After the visit, we head towards the village of MOLINOS where we will have time for lunch. We will leave towards the municipality whose origin is in the construction of a castle and fortification ordered by the Cid, thus the name of IGLESUELA DEL CID. We will discover the rich past of the city, declared a History-Artistic Site because of its magnificent Plaza Mayor, the Purification Church and several beautiful Renaissance palaces such as Casa Aliaga. We will be now moving towards the Maestrazgo Castellonense, which landscape is similar to the Aragon one, to reach its capital, MORELLA, an unexpected jewel declared a Cultural Heritage where we enjoy one of the most lovely viewpoints in Spain from the castle located at almost 1000 meter high. We will take advantage to taste the local gastronomy, to buy the famous blankets of fallera "morellanas" or to get lost by its walls and narrow medieval streets. Accommodation and free time to continue enjoying this beautiful place.

Today starts the day in which we will travel through the highest inhabited territory in Spain where every city corner seems as if it were taken from another time After breakfast, we will bid farewell to Morella with a walk. We go back to Aragon to reach the tiny village of MIRAMBEL, occupied by only 130 inhabitants. Guided tour of this village built by the Order of St. John which urban structure reminds us of a walled convent, its heritage conservation and the value of its historic centre led it to be awarded the Europa Nostra prize. Now we will get to know the capital of the Aragonese Maestrazgo, CANTAVIEJA, “small corners, great histories”. We will stroll through its medieval framework admiring its famous Plaza Mayor and the houses built inside the old towers of the wall. Time for lunch. We will keep on climbing up a lonely road from where we will be able to appreciate the spectacular landscape that will take us to TERUEL. Time to get to know the major sites of interest of the city accompanied by our guide, paying special emphasis on the Teruel Mudejar style, declared World Heritage Site, and discovering the history of Diego and Isabel, the famous Lovers of Teruel. After enjoying the afternoon, we set off for Zaragoza, where we will arrive in the late afternoon-evening. End of services.
