The information about the meeting place and start time of your circuit can be found on your voucher.We will leave Zaragoza very early towards AGUARALES DE VALPALMAS. In This original natural stop , we will walk on those peculiar Geological formation made by the erosion of the subsoil with whimsical shapes that seems to be the fireplace of the Earth. After we will go directly to one of the best Medieval Castles well-preserved in Europe: CASTLE OF LOARRE, where infinite films were made. guided visit, where we will discover each insight of each. Later, we will go to a charming village: AYERBE, home of Santiago Ramon and Cajal. We will stay in this place enough time to enjoy the substantial Aragonese food cooly and after we will have a walk in this beautiful place. After the lunch we will have a short 15 minutes guided walk on a forest track until getting to the viewpoint “ DE LOS BUITRES” for contemplating an unique view of the landscape:Mallos de Riglos , World Mecca of climbing. We will begin to go up the “ Pyrenees” having a totally different view so far. Our destiny is the Royal “ MONASTERY OF SAN JUAN DE LA PENA”, dug through the rock . We will visit its small rooms in which were buried the first kings of the Christian Aragon. Then , we will have a stop on a viewpoint where usually on clear skies days, we can appreciate the peaks of Pyrenees, all the forest and the mountains around us. We will continue going up till arrive at the top of the mountain where is the “ NEW MONATERY OF SAN JUAN DE LA PENA “ which was built after the collapse of the old one. This interactive visit will happen walking through a transparent elevated floor which let us to understand how was the Monks´ life, as well as, the origin of the Aragon´s Kingdom. To finish our trip , we will travel the distance which separates us of the SOS DEL REY CATOLICO, arriving at the hotel before dinner.

We are touring the “Empty Spain” (la “España Vaciada”) and we start the day enjoying a good breakfast. Let’s seize the opportunity to get local products in the stores nearby. Afterwards, we wil start a very complete guided tour to discover this historic village were King Fernando El Católico was born. We will discover the imposing church of St Stephen/San Esteban and its best kept secret. Later, we will enter the neighbouring region of Navarre, to reach the valley of Salazar, where the largest gorge of Navarre can be found, the FOZ DE ARBAYÚN. From this point, we can see the six-kilometres gorge created by the Salazar River on its way down from the Pyrenees summits. We keep going up to enter the Roncal Valley.We stop in the village of RONCAL, one of the best typical examples of the Navarre Pyrenees architecture. Time for lunch and remember tasting cheese, the first Denomination of Origin in Spain. Now, back to Aragon, the first village in our way, ANSÓ, a small Pyrenean looking village situated in an incredible valley. Time to spend strolling around the streets framed by houses built of fine materials as stone, wood and tile roofs characteristics of the region. Thereafter, we resume our tour to reach one of the most popular valleys in the Aragonese Pyrenees: HECHO. We can wander around “Hecho”, its intricated and cobbled streets, its houses with large balconies, roofs and typical chimneys have remained largely intact. Outside the village, the Monastery San Pedro de Siresa is considered to be the oldest in Aragon (9th-century). Next, our last stop of the day: JACA, capital to the Aragonese Pyrenees, and a large touristic centre. It has a remarkable monumental legacy. Highlights, the Romanesque cathedral and the citadel. It is time to enjoy walking along its alleys during the twilight and beginning of the night and to choose a restaurant to have dinner. Accommodation.

Breakfast finished, we can visit Jaca discovering the town with our guide. Then, we will head to the International Station of CANFRANC, one of the most beautiful railway stations in Spain, built as entrance point for those coming from France, crossing the Pyrenees. Its French palatial style, its size and magnificence are breathtaking. Later, we will go to the Cave of the Güixas to appreciate how water, drop by drop, has created one of the most beautiful caving landscape. An expert guide will show us round and tell us about every secret in the cave (ticket included). Our following stop will take place in the very heart of the Pyrenees: Ordesa and Monte Perdido National Park, a World Heritage Site. We will visit TORLA, charming typical Pyrenean village where we will have time for lunch and to admire the privileged views of the Ordesa Valley. Not far away, we find another typical small town in the region: BROTO. A five minutes walking trail will take us to the great waterfall of glacial origin that gives place to the Sorrosal waterfall, one of the nicest in that area. Our route continues in one of the Pyrenees unknown corners, the abandoned village of JÁNOVAS, the ghost town that never lost its life. Our guide will show us the stone decayed houses and streets plundered by uncontrolled vegetation growing unhindered. This day full of emotions merges, in the afternoon, in the most noble village of AÍNSA, one of the tourism objectives in the Pyrenees because of its perfect conservation. We will find within the walls, the wonder of Romanesque style in every corner. Time for dinner. Accommodation.

As every day and accompanied by our guide we will have time to visit the centre of Aínsa before departing. a very special day, as we are going to follow the well-known “Route of the religions of Ribagorza. PANILLO, our first stop, where we will discover the largest Buddhist monastery in Europe, the Dag Shang Kagyu. It is located in an idyllic spot in the middle of the Pyrenees, a virtually uninhabited district in Spain, the main reason for the founder’s enclave choice. We will visit one of its many temples that invite us to meditation (ticket included). We will continue to RODA DE ISÁBENA, a nice town with few inhabitants that houses in its main square, (Plaza Mayor), the first Christian Cathedral existing in Aragon. We will walk along its streets until we reach the Town Hall where the parish priest will be waiting to introduce us to a Jewell of Aragonese architecture, especially its wonderful Romanesque cloister (ticket included). After the visit, time for lunch to enjoy the typical food in this varied and rich region. We will follow our religious way to become acquainted with the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Torreciudad, the main pilgrimage centre of Opus Dei. It is situated on the banks of the Cinca River, over the waters contained by the El Grado dam. Now, a stop to admire the landscape and we will have time to watch the interior of the Sanctuary. Neither the building nor the views will allow us feeling indifferent. Finally, we will arrive in a small town of Muslim origin, ALQUÉZAR. It is considered one of the most outstanding villages in Spain. It is nestled in the Sierra de Guara and perfectly integrated into an impressive limestone environment carved by the Vero River. After a short walk, we will follow the road to return to Zaragoza, ending our exciting route. End of services.
