The information about the meeting place and start time of your circuit can be found on your voucher.We will leave Edinburgh to visit the south-eastern region of Scotland, the Borders. We will start with a visit to Rosslyn Chapel, a British Gothic masterpiece sculpted with whimsical figures that have been subject to all sorts of interpretations. Associated with the Sinclair family, Scottish landowners of Norman origin, the chapel has achieved enormous fame in recent years for having inspired the famous best-seller The Da Vinci Code (entrance included). From there we will go to the coast to discover the beautiful village of BERWICK, with its rows of Victorian houses facing the sea, this village will take us back to other times when it was a popular seaside destination. We will return to Edinburgh and accomodation.

We will head north to the ancient kingdom of Fife. We will cross the Firth of Forth through the most modern of its three bridges. Before that, we will make a brief stop at South Queensferry to appreciate in detail the Victorian railway bridge, declared a World Heritage Site. We will continue our way to the town of ST. ANDREWS, the spiritual heart of Scotland and the golf capital of the world. We will get to see the abbey ruins that for centuries guarded the Holy apostle’s relics, destroyed during the Protestant Reformation. The Old Course, the most prestigious golf course in the world, where Severiano Ballesteros got crowned the king of golf in 1979. After some time to walk around the city and have lunch, we will continue our journey through the cities of Dundee and Perth. In the afternoon, we will arrive at PITLOCHRY, a picturesque town. It has served as a base for those who want to explore the Scottish Highlands since the 19th century. Accommodation.

Our first stop will be at the Dalwhinnie Distillery, located at the highest altitude above sea level in all of Scotland, at the River Spey’s source. After the visit and tasting, crossing the Cairngorms National Park, we will go to INVERNESS, the Highlands’ capital, where we will stop for lunch and briefly visit the city with our guide. In the afternoon, we will go to LOCH NESS, the most famous of the Scottish lakes, where Nessie lives, and we will take a boat trip through its mysterious waters until we disembark at the ruins of Urquhart Castle, destroyed during the Jacobite rebellion. (entrance included)Next, we will go to the Rogie Falls on the Black Water River, which we will reach by taking a pleasant walk through a typically Scottish forest. We will enjoy a spectacular view from a suspension bridge over it. We will continue to the old seaside resort of STRATHPEFFER, where we will spend the night.

- EILEAN DONAN CASTLE - SKYE ISLAND
Today we will spend the day in the Highlands. We’ll travel along a scenic road making several photo-stops, we will arrive at Eilean Donan Castle, perhaps the most iconic in Scotland. It would be possible to take a guided tour of the castle and head to the ISLE OF SKYE from there. We will stop In PORTREE, its capital, for lunch. After the break, we will continue touring the island to pursue stunning landscapes such as the Quiraing, the Kilt Roks cliffs, or the Old Man of Storr. Accommodation in the area.

We’ll head back to Edinburgh. We have a long journey to Stirling, the scene of decisive battles and the Scottish monarchy’s historic seat. On the way, we will pass by FORT WILLIAM, where we will make a brief stop, and Glencoe, one of the most stunning valleys in the country. We will stop at BANNOCKBURN, where King Robert The Bruce defeated Edward II of England in 1314, Before Stirling. Once we arrive at STIRLING, we will have time to freely visit the castle (entrance not included) and time to have lunch and get to know this small town where a good part of the Scottish historical heritage resides. Return to EDIMBURGH and accommodation.
