Welcome to your Europamundo Trip Style!!! The information about the meeting place and start time of your circuit can be found on your voucher.We begin our day by leaving Venice towards Carinthia region in Austria, to enjoy the impressive landscapes of the southeastern Alps and reach Slovenia. Our first stop will be in the iconic Lake BLED, in Slovenia, a remarkably beautiful glacial lake placed at the foot of the Julian Alps. Here we will be able to admire its crystal clear waters, its medieval castle at the top of a rock and its island, the only natural island in Slovenia. We will take a boat tour to visit the little island and the Church of the Assumption (ticket included). We shall continue our itinerary to arrive at the small and colourful capital of the country, LJUBLJANA. In the company of our guide, we will enjoy a walk through its lively streets, crowned by the castle. Accommodation in Ljubljana.

After breakfast, we will head for Postojna Cave, which has more than 20 kilometres of tunnels and galleries filled with stalactites and stalagmites (entrance included). Next, we will make a brief photo stop close to the unique Predjama Castle, placed at the entrance of a cave. We will continue our trip crossing the border to Croatia. We will arrive at RIJEKA, the biggest city in the Gulf of Kvarner, a bay of the Adriatic Sea, and will head for the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Trsat, the most important pilgrimage destination in the country. We will walk by Trsat Castle, from where we will enjoy amazing views of Rijeka and the bay islands. Then we will descend to the city centre and, in the company of our guide, walk through the lively Korzo Street, filled with imposing buildings and restaurants where we will be able to try the local cuisine. Our next stop is in OPATIJA, an elegant holiday city in the Dalmatian Coast, with stately villas and promenades that will invite us to rest. We will have some time to enjoy its streets and walk along the pleasant Lungomare and even, if you wish, take a bath in the Adriatic Sea. Accommodation in Opatija.

After breakfast we will explore the region of ISTRIA. First of all, we will visit HUM, a small and beautiful medieval town lost in the heart of the peninsula, which holds the record of being the smallest village in the world. Whist walking its streets we will come across inscriptions in glagolitic, an ancient Slavic alphabet created in the 9th century. We will continue our trip towards PAZIN, a small village placed on a great rock above Pazinska Cave, described by Croatian writer Vladimir Nazor as “a heart in the heart of Istria.” With our guide, we will explore its streets, see the castle of Pazin, the best preserved medieval structure in the region, and walk close to the chasm. We will continue our route to arrive at the city of PULA where, thanks to its many monuments, we will deepen our knowledge of the History of Croatia and, particularly, its Roman period. We will visit the Pula Arena Roman amphitheatre, a very well preserved structure that once was the sixth biggest in the world and could accommodate 20,000 spectators (entrance included). After that, we will explore its historical centre, walking down the Via Flavia to visit the Roman Arch of the Sergii and Forum Square, with monuments such as the Town Hall and the Temple of Augustus. Free time for lunch. Next, we will head to ROVINJ, a picturesque fishing village, whose town centre can be considered a monument itself. It is without any doubt one of the prettiest towns in Croatia. In the company of our guide, we will have enough time to spend the afternoon and evening ambling along its quiet and welcoming streets and have dinner in any of its restaurants. Breakfast. We will head for POREC, a town founded in Roman times that still keeps its cardo and decumanus, the main axes for urban planning. Nowadays on them we can find many Renaissance palaces, shops and cafes. We will have the chance to visit the famous Euphrasian Basilica, designated a UNESCO Heritage Site in 1997 (entrance included). We will travel towards MOTOVUN, a charming and calm medieval village at the top of a hill. It was designated a UNESCO Heritage Site in 2007. Free time to have lunch in one of its traditional restaurants and try local cheeses and wines or dishes served with truffle oil. We will head to GROZNJAN, where we will briefly stop to visit this small and beautiful village placed over a hill and restored in the 1960s by a group of artists that gave a unique style to its narrow streets. It is, without any doubt, a hidden gem of the region. We will visit the town with our guide as a farewell to Croatia. Then we will cross the border with Slovenia and later enter Italy, where we will stop in TRIESTE before arriving in Venice. Trieste is an elegant and lively city where we will visit the Piazza della Unità d’Italia, the Grand Canal (with its bridges and boats) and its many historical cafes. After some time in Trieste, we will continue traveling to Venice. End of services. Our guide will drop you off at the agreed point.We hope you have enjoyed your circuit with Europamundo.
