It is the fifth largest in Germany and its name dates back to the year 794.We will visit its impressive financial district, with its high-rise buildings such as the Eurotower, the Main Tower, and the second largest skyscraper in Europe, the Commerzbank Tower, which represent the modern Frankfurt. The MyZeil offers one of the best views of the city´s skyline. From there we will be able to see the old Frankfurt with its Cathedral, the Römer, the Paulskirche, and the last remaining vestiges of the city´s history. Furthermore, we´ll get to know the lively Sachsenhausen area. It is a neighbourhood with a bohemian atmosphere, cobblestone streets, traditional houses with wooden frameworks, fountains, and many cider houses… We also shouldn’t miss out the Opernplatz and the Opera square which lighting at night is worth a visit.

After our breakfast, we will discover the Rhine valley. The Rhine is a mythical river filled with legends and history surronded by a multitude of small charming villages. Here, we include a short CRUISE ON THE RHINE, from the village of Sankt Goar to the town of Rüdesheim. Free time to have lunch. We will continue towards HEIDELBERG, a romantic city built by the shores of the Neckar river with a fascinating and millenary history. We will take a cable car to observe the stunning views. Then, we will go back down, to reach the so called “Golden Mile” of Europe. It is the longest pedestrian avenue in the continent, with 1 600 meters in length. The avenue is full of traditional colorful houses with sloping roofs, shops, and picturesque hanging lanterns. Departure to Baden-Baden to sleep in this city. Accommodation.

Breakfast. Before heading to the road on the Schwarzwaldhochtrasse, we will get to know the spa city of BADEN-BADEN. It is a symbol of the thermal and luxurious tourism in the Black Forest. We will discover its town hall and its gorgeous casino, the Kurhaus. We will also have the chance to visit the ruins of the Imperial Baths of Aurelia Aquensis, better known as the Caracalla Spa. Later, we will arrive at MUMMELSEE LAKE, a glacial lake at 1 036 m above sea level before continuing towards the SCHLIFFKOPF peaks. After this panoramic view, we will reach the HOHENZOLLERN CASTLE (entrance fee included), placed on the top of a long thin rock, 45 meters above the Danube. The castle belongs to one of the two branches in which the Hohenzollern family was divided, the Swabian. After the visit, we will dispose of some time to have lunch in the near city of SIGMARINGEN. We will follow our journey towards VILLINGEN-SCHEWENNINGEN, a city with two separated city centres. It is located in between the peaks and coniferous forests on the east of the Black Forest and on the head of the rivers Neckar and Danube. The largest of the two city centres, Villingen, was founded by the mythical House of Zähringen and it has a millennia of history within its walls, which is still guarded by three gates dating back to the XIII century. Today we will leave early to enjoy an intense day. Our first stop is TITISEE, a village in the Black Forest with a huge glacial lake. Legend has it that the Roman emperor Tito fell in love with the beauty of the village and that´s the reason for its name. If they wish, visitors will have the chance to do a small stroll to enjoy the views. We will then go up the Hochfirst Tower (entrance included) from where we will enjoy the wonderful views and even spot the Alps when the skies are clear. Our next stop will be TRIBERG. If there is one place that brings together the essence of the Black Forest, it must be this town. Here we will find charming views of fir trees, splendid nature, cuckoo clocks, fairy tale houses, cherry and chocolate cakes, and traditional clothing. Furthermore, we will take a path to see a succession of the tallest waterfalls in Germany, which are in this very town. We will continue our visit to GUTACH, where we will have lunch and see the Black Forest Open Air Museum. (entrance included) Here we will learn about the traditional the rural construction, the handcrafts, and the agriculture of the region. Our next stop is TÜBINGEN, a cheerful and dynamic university town; home to romantic thinkers, scientists, and writers. We will head towards the Platanenallee, an avenue of bicentenary horse chestnut trees located in the small green island on the river Neckar. From this park, you could appreciate the picturesque ”Neckarfront” with its traditional colorful houses. We will go up to the city´s castle which offers a beautiful view, and then, we will finish in the jewel of the old town, the Markplatz. After that we will continue to our lodging in STUTTGART.

After breakfast, we will enjoy a visit to the Mercedes-Benz Museum (entrance included), a surprising nine-story building that takes its visitors through a historic trip from the origin of cars to the latest models or Formula 1 carbodies. Once the visit is finished, we will depart towards ROTHENBURG, a city with a medieval origin and a turbulent past. Despite its rough years, it was very well preserved and it has a beautiful old town. We will visit the city wall and watchtowers, St. James´ Church, Burgartten park, Burgtor Gate, Plönlein square, the Markplatz, Rathaus and we will end up with the Christmas Museum (entrance included). After a short trip, we will arrive at WÜRZBURG, the capital of Lower Franconia and one of the worst punished cities during World War II. The city center disappeared in only 20 minutes of continued British bombings. However, after long and meticulous works, the main monuments were able to be repaired resulting in identical replicas of the original ones. The baroque centre has been slowly rebuilt, making the city an essential visit. We will get to know the old town, starting at the Market Square, St. Mary Chapel, the Hawk House, The Domstrasse, the old town hall, the Old Bridge, St. Kilian Cathedral, the Neumünster and we will finish at the Prince-Bishop Palace to appreciate its beautiful gardens and façade.
