The information about the meeting place and start time of your circuit can be found on your voucher.Early departure from Brussels to RIJKHOVEN, a small village in the province of Limburg surrounded by apple, pear, and cherry fields where we will find the beautifully preserved CASTLE OF ALDEN BIESEN, a former property of the Teutonic Order. Legend has it among Belgian children that this is Santa Claus´ residence when he arrives at the country to leave presents. Time to visit the site and stroll through the gardens. We drive to the Wallonia region and our first stop will be at FALLAIS CASTLE, located in the small village of Braives. It is a XIII century fortress with moats and round corner towers. The tour continues through this land of castles to visit the most emblematic castle in the province of Liège, THE JENAY-BODEGNÉE CASTLE. Located in a beautiful environment of wooded areas and wide meadows, it is a neo-Gothic style castle with a gridded facade and peculiar walls that look like a huge chessboard. The journey continues to LIEGE, the cultural and economic capital of Wallonia. We will enjoy a city tour with our guide where we will visit the Calatrava Station, Tour Paradis, Parc de la Boverie, Mediacité, or the Cathedral Square. A break for lunch in the city centre and optionally visit St. Paul’s Cathedral and its stunning treasure. We continue to explore this beautiful university city by visiting other places of great interest in the old town centre: Opera Square, Saint-Lambert Square, the Princes-Bishops´ Palace, the Market Square, Saint-Antoine´s Church, the Collegiate Church of Saint-Barthélemy, and Commissioner Maigret´s Square. And, as could not be otherwise, time to taste some of the varied Belgian beers. Accommodation.

Today we leave Belgium to discover the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. First of all, a stop in the small town of Vianden where the VIANDEN CASTLE stands, the most impressive castle in Luxembourg, built on a rocky promontory. It was built on an old Roman fortress and was the residence of the Dukes of Vianden. It suffered a great fire and an earthquake which left it almost in absolute ruin for many years until 1977 when the State took it back and began an arduous task of reconstruction leaving the current great fortress (entrance included). Arrival in the capital of the duchy, LUXEMBOURG, and together with our guide we visit the beautiful old town where discover the Constitution Square, the Cathedral, the Grand Ducal Palace, St. Michael´s Church, the Balcony of Europe, the Wilhelm II Square, or Place d´Armes. After this beautiful visit, a time for lunch and recharge our batteries. The route continues and, before reaching Echternach, we make a photo stop at the World War II American Cemetery in memory of its soldiers. Arrival in ECHTERNACH, the oldest town in Luxembourg, which has preserved its medieval atmosphere with its labyrinthine alleys in which we get lost with our guide. Our route will take us to the Mellerdall Nature Park via the "Wolf Gorge" through beautiful landscapes of lush forests. We will get BEAUFORT CASTLE, located in the village of the same name, impressive XI century architecture that was built on a small quadrangular fortress overlooking the Moselle valley. Visit the castle and tasting of forest fruit liqueurs (entrance included). Return to Luxembourg for accommodation.

Return to Belgium and our first stop is at LASSUS CASTLE, located in a small village on the banks of the Ourthe River, a charming XIV century fortress that was restored in the XVIII century in the Louis XIV style. Continue to a small village on the banks of the Hoyoux River, MODAVE, where we will visit the castle, CHATEAU DE MODAVE, a manor house located in a beautiful environment and famous for its interiors decorated with stuccoes, tapestries, great artworks and furniture with exceptional pieces from the XVII to the XIX century (entrance fee included). We now drive towards DINANT, a beautiful city on the banks of the Meuse River and nestled in the rocky massif of Ardennes, a genuine postcard image which can be enjoyed by strolling through its streets and where to have lunch. Passing over the Charles de Gaulle Bridge we have the best view of the city and from here we can contemplate the impressive Collegiate Church of Notre-Dame, the Citadel, and a whole row of houses that follow one after the other along the river. We take a cable car ride up to the top of the cliff to visit the Citadel, a World War I site that has been used for centuries as a watchtower (entrance fees included). Freÿr Castle, on the outskirts of Dinant, is a magnificent Renaissance-style residence with extensive maze-like gardens and beautiful views over the Meuse River. The interior has large frescoed foyers, classical halls, alcoves in a variety of styles, a Rococo chapel, and a valuable decorative earthenware collection. Those who wish to visit the castle are welcome to do so. Return to DINANT to enjoy a panoramic cruise down the Meuse River (entrance fee included). Accommodation.

After breakfast, early departure from Dinant early towards the village of Walzin, in the province of Namur, where we take a short walk along the banks of the Lesse River crossing the footbridge to admire the WALZIN CASTLE, perched on a rock over a meander of the river in a legendary setting. Nearby we enjoy another of the most beautiful castles in the country, VÊVES CASTLE, a XV century fortress with the appearance of a fairy-tale castle, flanked by six round towers of different sizes. Our day continues in search of the next dream castle, entering the natural Famenne region to find the CASTLE LAVOUX-SAINTE-ANNE in the surroundings of the town of Rochefort. We visit this medieval fortress built in the XV century with Renaissance influences and surrounded by a deep-water moat (entrance included). We enter the province of Hainaut to reach CHIMAY, a small French-speaking Belgian village well known both for its beer and its local cheese. There is time to stroll through its streets, have lunch and taste its famous products and, should you wish, you are able to visit the CHIMAY CASTLE, with its rococo theatre renowned as an exceptional heritage of the Wallonia region (optional entrance). Departure to the Brabant region where we stop and photograph the BEERSEL CASTLE, an authentic medieval fortified castle in a perfect state of preservation, made of red brick and surrounded by a moat-like pond. Return to BRUSSELS, leaving behind the legendary landscapes and castles that will remain with us forever. End of services. End of services.
