We will get to know the different wine regions and many of their winegrowers during the trip, as most of their wines are produced in small and medium-sized wineries, run with care by family businesses, which we will discover throughout the trip. After breakfast, we will depart to the cultural heritage region of Fruska Gora, famous not only for its vineyards but also for its beautiful landscapes, nature and monasteries. We will stop at the Orthodox monastery of Krusedol, from the 16th century, the most important in the region. We will continue to the town of SREMSKI KARLOVCI, surrounded by vineyards, and take a walk through the region´s capital, where we will stay for two nights. In Fruska Gora, there are many small family wineries that we will discover with our guide visiting two of them. In the second one, we will also have lunch with tasting included. After lunch, we will go towards the nearby NOVI SAD, the city with the most Balkan atmosphere in Serbia, which reminds us of its Austro-Hungarian past, with its pastel-coloured facades in Gothic, Baroque or neoclassical architectural styles. Its peaceful life, its terraces, courtyards and passages. The Danube separates the two most exciting parts of the city, the historic centre and Petrovadarin, with its fortress, which became one of the largest of the 18th century, and which we will also visit. From this site, we can enjoy magnificent views over the city. Before returning to the hotel in Sremski Karlovci, a delicious dinner of local gastronomy awaits you at Podrum Miljevic, a family winery where the winemaker himself will be the chef. You can enjoy their warm hospitality and listen to all their stories.

We will continue to discover Fruška Gora on the third day. Its mountain massif and nature park situated between Sava and Danube rivers and its good broths. After breakfast, we will visit two exciting wineries. The first one, modern, large and in full development, the second one, a boutique winery, tiny but sophisticated, where we will also enjoy a gastronomic lunch with wine tasting to familiarize ourselves with its production and history. After lunch, we will visit the Vidnik Monastery, another of the 18 monasteries in the region, to understand why this area is called the Serbian Athos. At the end of the afternoon, we will return to enjoy the dinner included in the hotel. Accommodation.

In the morning, we will leave for the Sumadija region in the centre of Serbia, the historical region of the country and covered with forests. We will drive to TOPOLA, the historical place where the First Serbian Uprising against the Ottoman Empire began in 1804. The local church of St. George, the Royal Mausoleum of Oplenac, is the burial place of the ducal and royal family of Serbia and Yugoslavia (the Karadordevices). We will visit the mausoleum with our guide (entrance fee included). After that, we will continue to get to know this country´s wines. We will visit 3 different wineries of Šumadija, The Royal Cellar, created in the 1930s by the Serbian king. The Aleksandrovic winery and, as a highlight, a young family winery where you will be served a local lunch paired with their wines. We will spend the rest of the day in KRAGUJEVAC, in the Colovic House of our warm hosts, for an evening where they will show you how local people live in a Serbian village nowadays.

Today we will change wine regions. From Šumadija, we will go to Negotinska Krajina, in the east of the country, along the Danube River, which represents another real treasure of Serbian viticulture using its fragrant native grapes. On the way, we will stop to visit Felix Romuliana, a UNESCO World Heritage Site for being one of the most interesting late Roman sites in Europe with remains of a palace complex with exceptional mosaics, baths etc.(entrance fee included). The region is known for its original wine cellars called "pivnice". Several localities have this traditional type of wineries, and we will visit the two most important and best-preserved: RAJAC and ROGLJEVO. In both places, you will have the opportunity to taste some local wine and learn more about the uniqueness of this wine region. In one of the villages, you will also have a local lunch included. After lunch we will go to the nearby town of NEGOTIN, next to Romania and Bulgaria borders, to enjoy the rest of the day. Here you will have the opportunity to see what provincial towns are like in Serbia. The guide will recommend where to go and what to choose from the local gastronomy. Accommodation.

The first activity planned for today will be a visit to the best wine cellar of the Serbian Orthodox monasteries. The Bukovo monastery is very famous for its indigenous grape varieties, one of which is the black Tamjanika grape. This wine is made only in this winery. For this visit, you will be accompanied by the monks who, as well as showing you around their monastery, will explain the whole process of making their wine, combining spirituality and winemaking in perfect harmony. After this visit, we will take the Iron Gates Gorge, the biggest gorge in Europe, and Serbia´s essential attractions. On the way to Belgrade, we will stop for lunch (included in the price) at Kapetan Mišin breg before visiting the archaeological site of Lepenski Vir (entrance fee included), which is the first prehistoric sedentary settlement on European territory, dating from more than 6000 years ago, and the medieval fortress of Golubac (entrance fee included). Arrival in Belgrade at the end of the day.
