Departure from the capital city travelling through the beautiful landscapes of the region of Bohemia. We arrive at the imposing Gothic KARLSTEIN Castle, time to explore its splendid surroundings. Afterwards we will head to KARLOVY VARY, a wonderful Bohemian spa town, where we will walk to see its mill colonnade, palaces and hot springs that makes it one of the most popular film locations in Europe. Time to have lunch and taste some of its typical products, such as becherovka and wafers. Then, we will go to one of the industrial centres of the country, PILSEN, the fourth largest Czech city, founded in the XII century and world famous for its excellent beer. We will visit the Brewery Museum (entrance included), which is more than 700 years old, a fun and instructive tour. Later, we will stroll through the beautiful historical centre. Accommodation.

Today we will drive through the pretty hop fields to the Zvikov area. In this fairytale setting we will see the ZVIKOV CASTLE, often called "King of castles" of Czechia, in a magical location on a peninsula formed by the confluence of the Vltava and Otava rivers. We now continue to the lands of South Bohemia to discover HOLASOVICE, a small and beautiful town of baroque architecture, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We will next go through a landscape of forests, lakes and hills towards CESKY KRUMLOV, a fantastically preserved medieval city; its walls, its pedestrian streets, its small restaurants, the river protecting the castle; will undoubtedly leave an indelible memory. We will have time to have lunch and taste its fantastic duck or trout with almonds. Afterwards and through small roads in the south of the country, we will reach the "Florence of the Czech Republic", called TELC, a small and romantic town that looks like something taken out of a fairy tale. We can enjoy its historical centre (UNESCO Heritage), the Main Square with colourful houses and high facades, St. Jacob´s Church with its 60-metre high tower, or visit the little shops and cafés and relax during a quiet moment. We leave Telc to cross the beautiful sceneries of hills and lakes of the South and head for the border town of MIKULOV, located in the protected landscape area of Pálava and on the border with Austria. We will have time with our tour leader to get to know this beautiful medieval town with a strong Austrian character, its castle, its palaces, the Jewish Quarter, the Holy Trinity Column. Would you like to have lunch in one of its traditional taverns or wine cellar? We continue towards the nearby LEDNICE. This small city was owned by the Liechtenstein family between 1322 and 1945 and is another good place to taste one of the fantastic Moravian wines while wandering through its palaces, parks and lively tourist streets. Then, crossing the vineyard fields, (site of the famous battle of Austerlitz) we arrive in BRNO, the second city of the country. We will be able to admire the Town Hall, the Cathedral of St. Peter and Paul with a magnificent and surprising history that put an end to the Swedish siege, or its beautiful functionalist architecture. Today we have an intense day ahead of us. We will enter the historical region of Silesia, close to the Polish border, and reach OSTRAVA, the main mining and metallurgical centre of the country, where we will visit the Dolní Vítkovice cultural centre, an imposing park of industrial architecture, which used to be a metallurgical factory. We return back to Moravia, to the historic town of OLOMOUC, considered to be the second city of art after Prague. Its central square and its imposing Holy Trinity Column are part of the World Heritage Site. Time for a stroll and taste the famous Olomouc breaded cheese or steak tartarak. After lunch we will go back to the Bohemian region, in a beautiful natural environment with lush abies forests to reach KUTNA HORA. Accompanied by our tour leader we will enter its streets of great beauty, highlighting the Church of St. Barbara, the Cathedral of Our Lady of Sedlec, and visit the famous ossuary of Sedlec (entrance fee included). After lunch we head back to PRAGUE, where this journey through the Hidden Czech Republic comes to an end. End of services.
