Today we will have a fantastic day in the First City of America, Santo Domingo. We include a panoramic visit of the city. We will visit its colonial area, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, walk through its streets, including the first street of America, ¨Las Damas¨ and reach the Primate Cathedral of America (entrance included), dedicated to Santa Maria de la Encarnacion, which was built on the orders of Pope Julius II in 1504. Next to the Cathedral, we will visit the "Parque Colón", a place for the locals with bars and restaurants to enjoy a good time at leisure. After that, we will also visit the Ozama Fortress (entrance included), and we will arrive at the "Alcazar de Colón" (entrance included), the first of the new world. Free afternoon for shopping in one of Santo Domingo´s modern shopping malls or its traditional market hall called Mercado Modelo. In the evening, we include a transfer to Plaza España, where we can contemplate the beauty and joy of the colonial area at night and enjoy one of its restaurants or bars.

After breakfast, we leave for the Northeast of the Dominican Republic, towards HATO MAYOR, founded around 1520 by Francisco Dávila as a colonial hacienda that was dedicated to livestock and agriculture. We continue en route to SABANA DE LA MAR, founded in 1760 by the Spanish brigadier Diego Delira, who was in command of the bay to guarantee the goods of the French established on the Island of Xamaná, Samaná Peninsula. We will stay in an ecological hotel in the area where you can enjoy beautiful spas and natural landscapes.

After breakfast we make a beautiful excursion to the Haitises National Park. Covering an area of 1600km (618 sq mi), this national park is one of the crown jewels of the Dominican Republic´s national park system. Los Haitises, which translates to "mountainous land" in the Taino language, attracts numerous visitors who come here by boat to see its magnificent series of 30m (98ft) high rock formations jutting out of the water. The park also boasts extensive mangroves along its bay, which is dotted with cays that are home to multiple bird colonies, as well as several caves known for having one of the largest amounts of petroglyphs and pictographs in the country.We return to our hotel where, after lunch, we will leave for SAMANÁ by sea. From the port of Samaná we will move to Las Terrenas where we will arrive at our all-inclusive hotel.

Full day excursion to LAS TERRENAS, including a visit, either walking or horseback riding to the famous Salto del Limón (Lemon Falls), visit the unspoilt beaches nearby. Typical lunch included. Return to the hotel in the late afternoon.

After breakfast, free day in Samaná on an All-Inclusive basis. Optionally, it is possible to enjoy a full day in Cayo Levantado, one of the many small islets that Samaná has.
