Today we will have a fantastic day in the First City of America, Santo Domingo. We include a panoramic visit of the city. We will visit its colonial area, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, walk through its streets, including the first street of America, ¨Las Damas¨ and reach the Primate Cathedral of America (entrance included), dedicated to Santa Maria de la Encarnacion, which was built on the orders of Pope Julius II in 1504. Next to the Cathedral, we will visit the "Parque Colón", a place for the locals with bars and restaurants to enjoy a good time at leisure. After that, we will also visit the Ozama Fortress (entrance included), and we will arrive at the "Alcazar de Colón" (entrance included), the first of the new world. Free afternoon for shopping in one of Santo Domingo´s modern shopping malls or its traditional market hall called Mercado Modelo. In the evening, we include a transfer to Plaza España, where we can contemplate the beauty and joy of the colonial area at night and enjoy one of its restaurants or bars.

After breakfast, we will depart for the Southwest of the island visiting the cities of San Cristobal and BANI. We will visit Las Dunas, 15 km of fine sand (desert area of the island) located in the Bay of Las Calderas of this important province. Time for lunch, included, in front of the beautiful beach of Salina. After lunch, we travel to BARAHONA and the city of AZUA. Dinner included.

BARAHONA 77ºF - 77ºF - ENRIQUILLO LAKE - PEDERNALES 79ºF - 79ºF

After breakfast, we leave the hotel, travel towards the largest lake in the Caribbean, Lake Enriquillo, the largest water reserve in the Dominican Republic and all the Antilles, with an area of 265 square kilometres and from where we can admire part of the Taina Rock Art. Visit to the LAS BARIAS spa, an unforgettable cold water bath, and have a walk along the lake to enjoy its varied flora and fauna typical to the region. Lunch included. After lunch, we will leave towards the city of PEDERNALES. On the way, we will have beautiful views of mountains, hot fountains, the Caribbean Sea and Rivers. Arrival at the hotel and dinner included.

PEDERNALES 79ºF - 79ºF

After breakfast, we will go to one of the most beautiful beaches in the Dominican Republic, the best-kept treasure in the Caribbean, BAHIA DE LAS AGUILAS. We will take a boat that will take us to a virgin area, with crystal clear waters and white sand. Over 37 km of beach awaits us, surrounded by mountains and a completely deserted area. Lunch included on the beachfront. Return to Pedernales and dinner included.

PEDERNALES 79ºF - 79ºF - OVIEDO LAGOON - SAN RAFAEL 75ºF - 75ºF - SANTO DOMINGO 73ºF - 79ºF

After breakfast, we depart towards the beautiful Laguna de Oviedo, a boat ride to the country´s National parks. There, we will get to watch the Pink Flamingos and the Iguanas in their natural habitat, time for a traditional mud bath in the region. We will stop at the San Rafael spa, where we will enjoy a rich bath in very cold waters under the burning Caribbean sun. Lunch included. After lunch, return to Santo Domingo.
